UNITED STATES ASSOCIATION of INDOOR WHEELCHAIR SOCCER

United States Association of Indoor Wheelchair Soccer (USA-IWS) is the governing body for the sport of Indoor Wheelchair Soccer (IWS).

     What is Indoor wheelchair Soccer?

Indoor Wheelchair Soccer is played on a basketball court with six players on each side, a goalie and five other players on the floor. The fast paced game is a basketball, soccer, European team handball hybrid, using elements of each and it is the most inclusive sport for all disability groups. Players must bounce, pass and throw the 10" ball in order to score on the goal. The sport uses a functional classification system that classifies each player in one of five levels of disability, within all disability groups. Teams from around the country compete in local, regional and national tournaments.
